My Photos Didn't Match (or Wrong Photos Matched)
Face match is good, not perfect. Here's what to do when it misses.
For guests: no photos matched1. Try a clearer selfie: face the camera, good light, no sunglasses or hat
2. Ask for your link instead: on Find My Photos, tap Send My Link and enter the phone or email you gave at the event
3. Photos may still be coming: during the event, check back a little later
4. Check the event: make sure you're on the right event's Find My Photos page
For guests: wrong photos matchedContact the event organizer and they can remove you from those photos.
For operators: review matches1. Open the event's Face Match tool, then Detection
2. Filter by status: Detected, Identified, Confirmed, Ambiguous, or Rejected
3. Confirm or Reject matches, or Tag Face by hand
4. Not them — Remove all takes someone off every photo they were wrongly matched to
Why it missesMatching works from the shape of a face. Sunglasses, masks, turned heads, blur, and faces that are small in the frame may not give a usable match. Group shots from far away miss more often than close portraits.
