Common questions

What do the plan names mean?

Each plan unlocks tools for a different stage of event photography. Deliver gives you capture, branding, and delivery — shoot, brand, and get photos to guests. Engage adds the full on-site experience: slideshows, print kiosks, photo editing tools, and analytics. Scale is for studios managing multiple clients from one dashboard.

How do I get access?

We're in private beta, onboarding photographers and event teams by invitation. Request access and we'll reach out when a spot opens.

Why is face recognition free?

Because it's the most useful thing we do. A guest at your conference takes a selfie, and within 8 seconds they have every photo they appear in. No scrolling through hundreds of images, no "can you send me my photos?" emails. It changes the guest experience so much that we think everyone should have it.

How does storage work?

Full-resolution photos average about 5 MB each, so 100 GB holds roughly 20,000 photos. Deliver includes 100 GB, Engage includes 250 GB, Scale includes 500 GB. Need more? Add 100 GB blocks for $5/mo. Powered by Cloudflare R2, so guests downloading their photos costs you nothing — zero egress fees.

How do capture devices work?

Your plan includes a set number of concurrent capture devices — 1 on Deliver, 3 on Engage, 10 on Scale. A "capture device" is anything actively shooting: an iPhone, iPad, tethered Mac, or photo booth. Registration kiosks, slideshows, and display screens don't count and are always unlimited. A solo photographer needs 1 device. A conference with a headshot lounge and 2 roaming photographers needs 3. A race weekend with 6 photo ops needs Scale.

What does "photos processed" mean?

Every photo that goes through face recognition, photo styling, or delivery processing counts toward your monthly quota. Deliver includes 5,000/mo (~25 typical events). Engage includes 25,000/mo. Scale includes 100,000/mo. If you hit your limit, add 5,000-photo blocks — no surprise bills, just pay for what you need.

What does "per-event branding" mean?

On Capture (free), your gallery uses BrandStudio's default look. On Deliver and above, every event gets its own logo, overlay, and gallery styling. So when you're shooting for Marriott on Tuesday and a nonprofit gala on Saturday, each gallery looks like it belongs to that client.

When would I need the Engage plan?

When you're doing more than just taking photos. If you want a slideshow playing on the lobby screen during cocktail hour, a print kiosk where guests pick their favorite shot, custom registration fields to capture attendee info, or analytics to show your client how many people downloaded their photos — that's Engage.

What's the difference between Engage and Scale?

Tools are the same. Scale is about volume. If you're managing events for multiple clients — each with their own brand kit, custom gallery domain, and team members — Scale gives you the workspace to run that without switching between accounts. 15 team members, unlimited brand kits, per-brand-kit custom domains.

Do you offer annual billing?

Yes. Annual billing saves 10–20%. Deliver drops from $99 to $89/mo. Engage drops from $199 to $179/mo. Scale drops from $299 to $239/mo.

What happens if I outgrow my plan?

Upgrade anytime — your events, photos, and settings carry over. If you downgrade, everything stays accessible, you just can't create new events beyond your plan limit.
