Privacy: How to Opt Out of Face Recognition

Guests can opt out of face recognition at any time. This article is for guests.

What we storeWhen face match runs, we store a face *embedding* — a string of numbers that describes the geometry of your face. It can't be reversed into an image. We never share or sell embeddings, and they live in encrypted storage.

How to opt out at registrationWhen you register for an event, look for the 'Face Recognition' checkbox. Uncheck it. We won't run face match on your photos.

How to opt out from your gallery1. Open your personal gallery (from the SMS or email link)
2. Tap your profile icon → Privacy
3. Tap 'Delete my face embedding'

This deletes your face embedding immediately. Your photos stay in your gallery — only the face-match data is removed.

What about photos already tagged to me?Those stay tagged based on the photographer's manual tagging or your registration link — face match isn't the only way photos get matched. To remove yourself from a specific photo, contact the event organizer.

Full account deletionIf you want everything removed — photos, face embedding, account — contact privacy@brandstudiohq.com and we'll process it within 30 days.
