Common questions

What is the difference between Gallery Gate and Guest Registration?

Guest Registration captures guests up front, at a booth or check-in desk. Gallery Gate captures them later, the moment they try to download a photo. Most events use both — registration for VIPs and session subjects, Gallery Gate as the backstop that converts every casual browser into a known lead.

What fields can I require at the Gallery Gate?

Name, email, phone, company, and job title — each one can be turned on or off and marked required or optional, per event. A common setup is just email + optional phone — the lightest possible friction that still captures a usable lead. Required fields block download; optional ones don't.

Do guests have to register every time they download a photo?

No. Once a guest completes Gallery Gate, their browser remembers them for the session and they can download freely. If they come back on another device, they register once on that device. Phone-number-based identification ties multiple sessions back to the same person.

Does Gallery Gate slow down the guest experience?

Barely. The form is intentionally short — usually 2–3 fields — and appears once, not on every download. By the time it shows up the guest has already decided they want the photo, so most complete it. The tradeoff is a small amount of friction for a complete contact list of everyone who engaged.
