Slideshow Setup: Apple TV, Web Embed, and Display Screens

A live slideshow shows new photos as they're uploaded — perfect for lobby TVs, sponsor screens, and social media displays.

Three ways to run a slideshow
1. Web slideshow (any browser)Grab the slideshow URL from your event:
- app.brandstudiohq.com/{brand}/{event-slug}/slideshow
- Or with a custom domain: photos.yourdomain.com/{event-slug}/slideshow

Open it in any modern browser on the display device. Press F11 for fullscreen.

2. Apple TV slideshowUse the BrandStudio tvOS app (TestFlight). Sign in once, pick the event, and it runs in kiosk mode. Photos appear in real-time via WebSocket — no refresh, no polling.

3. Embed in a webpageFor sponsor sites or event microsites, drop an iframe pointing at the slideshow URL with ?embed=1 appended.

Per-event configurationEvent Settings → Slideshow:
- Transition style — fade, slide, or instant
- Delay between photos — 3 to 15 seconds
- Logo placement — corners or center
- Background color — match your brand
- Show captions — guest name, session, photographer
- Consent filter — hide photos from guests who opted out

Real-time updatesSlideshows subscribe to a WebSocket channel for the event. New photos appear within 1-2 seconds of upload. If the connection drops, it auto-reconnects.

Performance tips- Use a wired ethernet connection for venue displays
- A reasonably modern Apple TV or browser is fine — slideshows are lightweight
- Restart the slideshow once per day for multi-day events to free memoryConfigure Slideshow
