The station isn’t a place photos go after the event — it fills up live, as your team shoots. A guest photographed during cocktail hour finds that photo at the station before dinner. And it only shows what it should: branded, current, guest-ready photos. Staff copies and duplicates are filtered out automatically.

Common questions
What can the Sharing Station do besides print?
It's one flexible delivery hub. Guests walk up, find their photos, and get them their way — a branded print, a text, an email, or a quick QR scan to their phone. You decide which options are on per event: print-only, digital-only, or all four. Printing is a first-class mode, not the only one.
Can I run it without a printer?
Yes. Turn printing off and run it fully digital — text, email, and scan-to-phone. It's perfect for events with no printer, or where you want guests to leave with their gallery rather than a single print. Flip printing back on any time and it's front-and-center again.
Which printers does it support?
Most DNP, Mitsubishi, and Canon Selphy dye-sub printers — the industry standard for event photo printing. It handles multi-printer setups, auto-routes jobs by queue length to keep wait times down, and alerts staff when paper or ribbons run low. Inkjet printers aren't supported.
Do I need a laptop on site to print?
Not with a DNP DS620A or DS820A. Those two plug straight into an iPad over USB-C and the iPad drives them directly — no Mac, no second thing to power and babysit. The iPad has one port, so a printer on its own goes straight in; add a camera, or keep the iPad charging through a long day, and you want a powered USB-C hub. Every other supported printer runs through a Mac print station, which is still there when you want one machine handling several printers at once.
Why only the DS620A and DS820A for direct printing?
Because we test on the actual hardware. Driving a dye-sub straight from an iPad means speaking that printer's own language over USB — there is no generic driver to lean on, so every model has to be put on the bench, measured, and proven print by print. We have done that for the DS620A and the DS820A. We would rather name the two we can stand behind than list a dozen we have never plugged in. Everything else prints through a Mac station.
Does direct USB printing work from an iPhone?
No — it needs an iPad with an M-series chip (iPad Pro or iPad Air, M1 or newer) running a current iPadOS. That is an Apple limitation on the kind of driver an app is allowed to bring with it, not something we can work around. On an iPhone, or an older iPad, printing goes through a Mac print station as usual.
How does it keep the photo area clear?
The Sharing Station is a dedicated, self-serve spot away from the camera. Guests step out of the photo-op area to find and share their photos (via Face Match selfie, SMS link, or browsing), so your photographer keeps shooting and the line keeps moving.
Can I cap how many prints each guest gets?
Yes. Per-guest print limits are configurable — 1, 3, 5, unlimited, or whatever matches your paper budget. Once a guest hits their limit, the station offers digital delivery instead. The limit resets per event, so repeat attendees aren't penalized across events.
